This was a Rainmeter desktop skin I developed for my own personal use. It was inspired by the anime Sword Art Online (SAO). One summer, I got motivated to customize my desktop based on the HUD shown in the anime. I took the time to research about Rainmeter and learned how to create my own customized desktop skin. 

 

I got most of the assets online and edited them using Adobe Photoshop and Audacity. I may not have used any programming language in this side project (Rainmeter uses config files) but I both learned and utilized some programming concepts in order to make some features, such as animations, to work. The CPU and memory HUDs are actually drawn entirely in Rainmeter while all other graphics are PNG image files. I worked on this side project for a total of about 4 weeks with the menu skin being the most time consuming.
